Surface Web, Deep Web and Dark Web

Before we get into the details, a little background of web and Internet to help us understand the origin of  "Levels of Web". Internet and Web are not same, their is a difference between internet and Web. internet is a network by which million of computers are connected to each other globally while Web or World Wide Web is the way of accessing information. In today era, an internet is a need of everyone either someone is conducting business, doing mail, or something else online but many people do not know the major disadvantages of using internet. Their are basically different levels of Web from which most of people are unaware about it. So let's discuss each level briefly.

1.    Surface Web

          Surface web that is also called Visible web is used by a normal internet users like you and me. Their is no need to take a permission to access surface web as you are reading my blog is also a part of the Surface web. Now you'll shock after reading next sentence, "Surface web is about 4% of ocean of the web". Shocked or not? yes it is true you are accessing just 4% of the internet from the entire ocean of the web, which is too much less, while 96% is covered by other Levels of Web (Deep web and Dark web). All major search Engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo can only crawl this Surface web and returns a result from this 4% of web.

2.    Deep Web

          This Deep web is about 90% of web, and no search engine like Google, Bing, Yahoo can access this web. All the information in Deep web are very sensitive and private. This Level of web contains the major companies data, security agencies data, bank accounts data, government publications, and much more information. Its mean it is the safest place in the web which is accessible by the only people which have an authority. Normal users are not allowed to access this ocean of web and that is the reason search engines do not crawl and index this web for normal users on internet.

3.    Dark Web

           Dark web is mostly used for illegal activities such as pornography, selling and purchasing of weapons, drugs, gold and much more. You heard every day that someone hacked a website and stolen a data from database, all these type of activities are performed in this web. This web is accessible, but their is a quote for this web "Either visit a dark web or say hi to FBI", yes it is true but mostly when you visit Dark web your IP Address is hide from everyone but when FBI track your IP Address then i am not sure about your future. Their is a browser available for accessing a Dark web called TOR. This is the browser that hide your identity from others. Many people visited this web but they surely warn himself/herself and others to not visit this illegal ocean of web. People whose visited this web says:
a.  I found there was an AD how to cook women.
b.  I found the AD which was about to join Terrorist group.
c.  When i visit a Dark web and went to drink coffee for sometime and when i return i found a message on my screen which is send by a hacker, after this incident i even not used internet for at least one weak.
d.  I found someone selling a drugs, and weapons.
e.  I found someone ask to torture a human he will pay for that.

So these was the major incidents that happened with normal users. I 100% advise you to do not access or visit this web and do not involve yourself in any type of FBI investigations. This is a Crime and only criminal visits a Dark Web. This blog is just for sharing information about the Levels of Web which is still hidden by most of peoples in the world.
